IMG_7574NTUC asked Brandcast Media to help film and promote a live online broadcast event with NTUC and Microsoft called ‘Workplace Expert Series’. NTUC is at the heart of the Labour Movement, which comprises 60 affiliated unions, one affiliated taxi association, 14 social enterprises, four related organisations and over 700,000 members. NTUCs mission is to help working people to earn a better living and live a better life.

The production took place in Singapore as a part of ‘The Workplace Expert Series’ where experts from various industries are sitting in the ‘hot seat’ to share useful tips, answer burning questions on various issues relating to work, industry or employment issues. For the inaugural session, the discussion was focusing on “Leaders in the Tech Industry” and our ‘Hot Seat’ guest was Ms Jessica Tan, General Manager, Regional Enterprise Business, Microsoft Singapore. 20 years of experience in the Tech Industry, including 14 years with IBM and she has served in various leadership positions in sales, services and strategic business development roles in Singapore and the Asia Pacific Region she’s also a Member of Parliament.

Netizens were be able to virtually meet Ms Jessica Tan and ask her any questions (via Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) pertaining to her career experience, how she worked her way into her current position, her attitudes towards work-life balance…etc.   Hosting the interview was Mr Patrick Tay, Director of PME Unit and Legal Services Department of NTUC, who champions for the rights and interests of Professionals, Managers and Executives (PMEs), also a Member of Parliament.
