Yummy Mummy

On Friday June 22nd we attended BritMums Live, a two-day blogger event that has grown out of BritMums, the UKs largest parent blogger community.
Hundreds of bloggers from all over the world, descended upon The Brewery in the City of London for the parent blogging conference, to learn, laugh, network and share. Parent bloggers were given the opportunity to learn more about blogging through workshops, panel discussion and guest speaker talks.
After Ruby Wax took to the stage to talk about her inspirational battle with depression, a panel discussion of five high-flying journalists and bloggers then led a session entitled “British Blogging Now”. Carla Buzasi, editor-in-chief of Huffington Post UK was chairing the 50-minute debate, covering what the panel look for in a successful blog. Steve Keenan, the co-founder of Travel Perspective and an expert in travel social media, told us:
“My current passion is video. Its become more main stream for bloggers – if you have video on your site, people stay on the page for much longer.”
Bloggers were also given free training in social networking, advice on charitable fundraising, style sessions, film sneak peeks, fruit juice tasting and free photo booth sessions!
